"DESERT CLAWED" Mixed Media Vase

• Glass vase is hand painted with acrylic paint and sealed
• The mixed media consists of natural gifts from the desert with devil claws and rocks
• Vase measures 16" length x 5" top width x 5" bottom (base) width
• High gloss urethane finish with UV protection
• The vase arrangement is included and contains a variety of dried grasses and mixed items
• Vase measures with the arrangement approx. 36" height x 20" width
• Signed by artist on bottom of the vase

The artwork sculpture is created by local gifts from the Sonoran desert. It is vertically elongated with a segmented structure, of devil claws and rocks from the desert. The surface is painted with earthy rust and browns, with accents of purple hews. The devil claws are attached onto the vase and painted to their natural colors. For many years I have detached the very sharp claws from horses tails and hoofs.

Audrey’s whimsical hand painted mixed media vases are lively and fun. They are made from different local elements she finds in the desert. She paints the elements on her glass vases, which gives lots of different textures and color. The creations that come from many hikes and living on a ranch helps her design each vase.
