Digital Art of Karl W Hoffman

Digital Art is an exciting product of our contemporary world.  With huge advancements in technology the art world has blossomed with so many new tools affording artists almost no bounds in the creative process.  Combining of many of the latest techniques and developing ones own is entering a new and exciting frontier.

The art of Karl W Hoffman is in itself very unique in that Karl has experimented and developed new techniques in combining different creative software from pushing the bounds of Photoshop to using animation software used for creating realistic people and objects for advanced gaming. 

Developing new and innovative ways to combine software programs and push them to the limits requires state of the art equipment.  Huge files are required to produce the very high-resolution graphics. Starting with the artist’s eye and a 50-mega pixel camera, a custom-built mac book pro that was designed by the Apple business division team with the largest graphics cards available that are used for professional gaming along with a solid-state drive and other upgrades are just the basics.

Once the many hours are put into each finished piece in its own program the process begins to reformat all parts into a common compatible file and exported into a central program where each part can be integrated with each other to form the many layers of the finished art.  

Now the upload process begins. Once at the photo lab files are read, very specialized equipment is used to print with high quality acrylic on polished metal with a custom mounting. Then shipped back to the Gallery. 

Care and Handling

Handle metal prints carefully to avoid bending, denting, or scratching the surface. It is also recommended to handle with clean dry hands and avoid getting fingerprints on the printed surface. The surface can be cleaned with a soft cloth (microfiber recommended) and if needed warm water or a non-ammonia cleaner. Like most fine art it’s best to avoid direct sunlight.
