Taking care of your jewelry:  This piece of sterling silver jewelry and 14kt gold ring is high polished and not sealed. It will naturally patina over time which gives it a duller sheen.  If you want more of the high polished look we recommend our Jewelry Cleaner in accessories.

TOURMALINE

Tourmaline is one of the world's most popular gemstones and is easy to find in jewelry stores. Well-formed tourmaline crystals are also valued by mineral specimen collectors. Specimens with attractive colors and crystal forms can sell for thousands of dollars. Tourmalines come in a wide variety of exciting colors. In fact, tourmaline has one of the widest color ranges of any gem species, occurring in various shades of
virtually every hue.

HEALING PROPERTIES

Tourmaline is believed to promote inspiration and happiness, reduce fear, and build self-confidence among its users. It's also used to balance yin-yang energies, as it's considered a physical bridge to the spiritual. Tourmaline comes in a variety of colors, the most common being black.

WHERE IT’S FOUND

Some placer material suitable for gem use comes from Sri Lanka. In addition to Brazil, tourmaline is mined in Tanzania, Nigeria, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Malawi.
